Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to donate?
No. Your name and the phone number of your payment method are enough. An account only lets you find your donations again.
How can I pay?
By mobile money or card. Payment takes place on the payment provider's secure interface.
Is my donation visible to everyone?
Only if you want it to be: you can give anonymously and hide the amount. Your phone and e-mail are never displayed.
Who checks the fundraisers?
A moderator reviews every fundraiser before it is published. The "Verified fundraiser" badge means the organisation behind it has passed the identity check.
What happens if the goal is not reached?
The organiser chooses when creating it: either they keep what was raised, or the funds are paid out only if the goal is reached (mandatory threshold). The chosen mode is shown on the fundraiser.
Are there any fees?
A commission is taken on each donation to fund the service. It is deducted from what is paid to the organiser, not added to your donation.
