Fundraisers
Trust and safety
Giving to someone you do not know takes trust. Here is what we check, what we protect and what stays public.
Fundraisers reviewed before publication
A moderator reviews every fundraiser before it becomes visible. A fundraiser can be suspended at any time if doubt arises.
The "Verified fundraiser" badge
It appears when the organisation behind the fundraiser has passed its identity check. Without the badge, the fundraiser is published, but the organiser's identity has not been checked yet.
Payment at the provider
Payment is made by mobile money or card with the payment provider. We never see your secret code or your card details.
Your details stay private
Your phone and e-mail are only used to process the payment. They are never displayed on the fundraiser.
Figures anyone can see
The amount raised, the number of donors, the latest donations and the planned budget are public. The organiser can post updates to explain how the funds are used.
Give discreetly
You can give without showing your name and hide the amount of your donation. A donation whose amount is hidden does not appear among the largest donations.
